چکیده

Phoenix dactylifera L. is a flowering plant species commonly known as the date palm and widely cultivated in most Middle East countries, including Libya. The present study analysed biochemical genetic diversity of fully mature eight Libyan cultivars grown different regions using amplified fragments length polymorphism (AFLP) technique. Six pairs AFLP molecular marker combinations were utilised to discriminate genotypes. Fruit dimensions (length x diameter) varied based on type; Majhool Alheelo fruit had highest value (15.29 cm2), while lowest was for Alkhadraya fruits (7.9 cm2). Reducing sugar content ranged from 10.4 per cent flesh dry weight Umfetity 61.2 Sufeer-genab, which also showed percentage (P%=4.9), Alkhadarya (P%=0.519). phylogenetic tree indicated that distantly related Alhamraya Alhelo. two closely Alsaeedy Show Alkhadarya, regions. Our results indicate nutritional not matched with growing region.

Analysis of the Genetic Diversity 12 Iranian Damask Rose (Rosa damascena Mill.) Genotypes Using Amplified Fragment Length Polymorphism Markers

In this study, the genetic diversity of 12 Iranian Damask rose (Rosa damascena Mill.) genotypes was studied using amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) markers. Twelve AFLP primer combinations generated 483 polymorphic bands and showed extreme variability and genetic complexity among the studied genotypes. The AFLP analysis revealed a specific amplified fragment for the genotypes collec...

Evaluation of the genetic diversity of Bupleurum using amplified fragment length polymorphism analysis.

Radix bupleuri (Chaihu), the dried root of the Bupleurum plant, is an important component of traditional Chinese medicine. In this study, we examined the genetic diversity of 11 Bupleurum strains, originating from 7 provinces in China, using amplified fragment length polymorphism analysis. A total of 274 polymorphic bands were obtained using 6 primer combinations, indicating a high level of pol...

Comparison of Genetic Diversity in Species and Cultivars of Pistachio (Pistacia sp. L.) Based on Amplified Fragment Length Polymorphism (AFLP) Markers

The genetic diversity of a large number of pistachio genotypes grown in Iran is not exactly known. Most of the studies on genetic diversity of Iranian pistachio varieties are based on morphological characteristics or isozyme markers. In the present study, the genetic diversity of selected pistachio cultivars along with some wild species were evaluated by Amplified Fragment Length Polymorphism (...

Genetic diversity of Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae assessed by amplified fragment length polymorphism analysis.

Amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) was evaluated as a method for genotypic characterization and subtyping within the bacterial species Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae. A total of 155 isolates of A. pleuropneumoniae, representing the serotypic variation described to occur within this species, were analyzed. In order to elucidate the species boundaries, six strains of the phylogenetica...

Whole Genome-Based Amplified Fragment Length Polymorphism Analysis Reveals Genetic Diversity in Candida africana

This study aimed at investigating the genetic diversity of a panel of Candida africana strains recovered from vaginal samples in different countries. All fungal strains were heterozygous at the mating-type-like locus and belonged to the genotype A of Candida albicans. Moreover, all examined C. africana strains lack N-acetylglucosamine assimilation and sequence analysis of the HXK1 gene showed a...
